"Weiner pursued his reflections on color (…) in WITH A TOUCH OF PINK, by using the context of graphic design as a metaphor. Content does not appear as such, but only within a circumscribed space. As colors nothing but vehicles of content, or are they ultimately contant themselves? Would this mean that they are not elements of style but instead difine the manner of representation, its structure? Sincethe meaning of color is contingent upon history and place of application, colors not only obey the code required by content, they even provide content with a specific context. Accepting the arbitrariness of context prevents the work from reducing content to mere metaphor.”. The work, “WITH A TOUCH OF PINK”, serves to formulate the dialectics of content and context, already seminal to the propeller series". (Schwarz)
