Text: "La voiture du Peintre photographiée devant le restaurant «Aux Tamaris» à Paris le jour où il était revenu sur le continent, quittant Postbridge un coin perdu de la lande de Dartmoor où il s'étai fixé, sur la simple indication que ce restaurant, tenu par de vagues cousins croyat-il, s'appelait Tamaris comme la localité du Midi de la France où il était né. Bien qu'il se trompât du tout au tout il avait étè heureux que ce nom de lieu (la Jérusalem celeste pour lui!) se trouvât associé comme autrefois à des senteurs méridionales d'huile chaude et de sardines grillées".
