"The drawings (constructions) by Hanne Darboven, contained in 6 books, deal with the year 1969 and derive from the individual dates beginning with 1. 1. 1969 and ending with 31. 12. 1969. As a result each book has the same number of the pages, namely 365 and the theme remains constant. The books differ from each other, however, through a processive reduction. Nevertheless, this reduction affects neither the number of pages nor the theme. It does though affect the 'special' expansion of the drawings formed by numbers of squares." (Johannes Cladders)
