AA.VV. / Destricted

€150.00

Paris, Galerie Kamel Mennour, 2006, 21,6x15 cm., typographic invitation card, folded in two parts, published on the occasion of the group exhibition (Paris, Galerie Kamel Mennour, October 27 – November 11, 2006). Artists included: Larry Clark, Gaspar Noé, Matthew Barney, Sam Taylor Wood, Richard Prince, Marco Brambilla, and Marina Abramović. The exhibition at Galerie Kamel Mennour followed the round table held at Tate Modern and presented Destricted as a collective artistic investigation into the representation of sexuality. Conceived by leading figures in contemporary art, the project approached pornography not as mere explicit content, but as a performative and conceptual language. Through film and its exhibition context, Destricted challenged conventional boundaries between art and pornography, reframing sexual imagery as a site of critical, aesthetic, and cultural inquiry.
